中国世贸网简介:

从1995年世界贸易组织成立以来,众多区域性和双边性的自由贸易协定不断制定,世界贸易正在强烈影响全球的资源和收益分配,影响全球人民方方面面的生活。在当今全球化的时代,中国正在履行对世界贸易组织的承诺,同时与其他国家和地区谈判和签订各种自由贸易协定,对人民方方面面的生活带来种种影响。



中国世贸网是一个关心世界性、区域和双边自由贸易协议对弱势人群的影响的网络,由多个NGO组成的,其中包括国际行动援助、香港乐施会、绿网等。自2003年成立以来,世贸网举办了一系列活动力图推动NGO关注世界贸易组织相关协议的影响,其中包括举办世界贸易组织工作坊、香港部长级会议民间观察团、中国入世五周年回顾会议等。

在这些活动中,世贸网主要关注国际自由贸易对弱势人群(农民、劳工、社会性别、传统知识与知识产权、少数民族、环境、艾滋病患者等)的影响。中国世贸网相信,民间组织应当加强沟通,共同关注世贸协议和自由贸易协定对各自服务人群的当前和潜在影响。





现招聘中国世贸网协调员一名,协同世贸网各管委会成员促进中国世贸网络的发展及各项活动的开展。



职位概括如下:

1.建立适当的策略促进中国世贸网络的发展,争取更多本土NGO的参与。

2.建设与维护中国世贸网的网络信息平台,更新最新有关贸易等议题的信息,并建立网络交流的平台。

3.组织中国世贸网络的日常管委会会议,及协调世贸网络的各项活动,包括:工作坊、讲座、调研等。

4.与其他NGO的主题网络进行合作。



成功申请者必须具备以下条件:

1.硕士研究生或以上,学科背景与发展工作相关者优先,如发展工作、经济学、社会工作、人类学、社会学,或相关社会科学。若曾参与发展工作,具备发展工作相关实践经验或熟悉国际贸易与反贫困议题者更佳。

2.优秀的协调能力及与各种背景人员合作的能力。

3.具备制定发展网络策略的能力。

4.具备组织会议、工作坊等活动的经验及能力。

5.具备独立工作的能力,及能承受工作压力。

6.乐于为争取贫困及弱势人群的权益而工作。

7.熟练的中英文阅读、书写及表达能力。

8.熟练应用这种办公软件,可进行网站的简单日常更新及维护更佳。

Network coordinator for China WTO Network

The China WTO Network is seeking a project coordinator who, with excellent coordination skills, can steer the establishment and development of the network.

Background about the China WTO Network:

The China WTO Network ‘s aims is to create a platform for understanding, learning and discussing China – WTO and other China –international trade issues in relations to development and environment. Network members include national and international NGOs, such as: ActionAid International China, Oxfam Hongkong, Greenweb.



Upon the accession of the WTO, China’s national trade policies are to harmonize with WTO rules, which in a way posted limitations to government policies to manage trade, including those policies for rural development and poverty reduction. Beyond WTO, RTAs and BTAs are very active, which are affecting people all over the world, especially for the poor. Therefore, it is vital to monitor the post accession impacts, the policies changes and the current WTO, RTAs, BTAs negotiations and make sure that these changes are pro-development.



Currently, there are limited platforms for civil society groups to discuss the issues, share information and exchange experiences. The network hopes to fill this gap. The network will develop and facilitate civil societies’ participation in the international trade issues. And in the past three years, we had workshop for international trade, organized a observer team for MC6, hold a workshop for China-WTO 5 years.



The coordinator will coordinate with Steering Committee members to develop and implement the planned activities.

Job Description:

1. Building a suitable strategy to launch of the network and recruite members;

2. managing a website which serve as a mini-online international trade library and a discussion forum; maintaining website actively by sending out regular updates and international trade negotiation news;

3. organizing the steering committee meeting, NGO workshop and conference for trade.

4. Cooperate with other NGO network.







Success candidate should has:

1. A master degree with relevant academic background in economics , development studies, sociology, anthropology, international relations, social work, or related social sciences disciplines; working experience in development work is preferable. knowledge of WTO and understanding of trade related poverty, development and environment issues is better.

2. excellent coordination skills and able to work with people with diverse background

3. able to develop the strategy plan for network building.

4. experience to organize conference , workshop.

5. able to work independently and under pressure

6. an interest in working for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups

7. excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;

8. excellent computer skills and familiar with office software.

Part-time applicants also are acceptable.
